Quarter 3, Week 6 - Literary Devices
For this week we just discussed Literary Devices. Before we discussed we had our Flag Ceremony since its Monday. What is Literary Device? It is a tool used by writers to hint at larger themes, ideas, and meaning in a story or piece of writing. Literary devices have many types. One of Literary devices used are Simile and metaphor, these two are the most used literary devices, It refers to the drawing of comparison between the two unrelated and dissimilar things, people, beings, places, and concepts. We discussed 8 literary devices but it can be counted as 9 when we separate simile and metaphor.
Other literary devices are; foreshadowing, flashback, symbolism, rhyme, oxymoron, repetition, and rhetorical questions. We also are asked to give some examples. At the end of our discussion, we had some assessments and tests. We also have some announcements about some of my teachers' concerns.
